Opening salvo
I'm in my forty fifth year on this earth. After graduating high school I joined the navy for four years during Jimmy Carters miserable presidency. During my enlistment I traveled around the world twice and visited over twenty countries. Near the end of my enlistment I got married to Michele. After that I went to school to be a commercial diver. I was hired by a company out of school and spent eighteen month in the Arabian Sea (Persian Gulf) working on the oil rigs pipelines on and under the water. It was the best job I ever had. But marriage does not mix well with this. I gave it up because it was the right thing to do. I floundered around for a couple years and ended up working for a major oil company. During this career I have worked on oil rigs off shore in hazardous conditions and dangerous atmospheres for over thirteen years. Along the way I studied computer technology, database management, GIS, and GPS and acquired certificates in these fields. While I still work for the oil company my position is technical and involves the fields I just mentioned. Basically I make maps and manage the information connected to them.
The philosophy that guides me through my life everyday is Christian. However, I know in mind that on the world stage the principals that Niccolo Machiavelli wrote about extensively in his books are what dominate the events that shape tomorrow throughout the world.

1. It is still a man's world. The strongest man will always be stronger than the strongest woman.
2. The combination of strength of will, physical strength and intellect determine ones station in life.
3. Greatness will come to those who are not seeking it. However, it will come to those who prevail in the great risks that they believe in.

These are a few of the beliefs that I have. I will try to show how this applies to the current events and great turmoil that is taking place in our world. I look forward to any comments from my fellow bloggers.
